Internet search giant Google has reportedly started rolling out new options in its Google app called “Read aloud” and “Translate.”
As per a report by 9to5Google, the “Read aloud” feature allows users to ask Google Assistant to read an article. This feature performs the same function as the one Google Assistant does when users say “read this to me.”
As for the “Translate” feature, it works on the lines of the built-in Google Translate feature of Chrome for Android and shows a bar along the bottom of the screen allowing users to translate the current page into any language of your choosing.
Just yesterday, it was reported that Google is testing a new feature in the Google app that shows related links more easily.
As per a report by 9to5Google, this feature has been rolled out in the app 12.4 beta version, where users will be able to swipe up on the bottom bar with a new pull tab. The tab that opens is titled “People also view” and has a Google logo on the top.
In this tab, users will be able to see a feed of articles and videos related to the Discover or Search link that they have already opened. This includes full-width cards as weak as carousels, adds the report.
