Fourth-quarter earnings came in at 41 cents per share excluding items, ahead of the 27-cent profit analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting. Revenue came in at $789 million, also ahead of the expected $741 million.<\\\/p><p><a href=\\"https:\\\/\\\/www.cnbc.com\\\/quotes\\\/SAVE\\">Spirit Airlines<\\\/a> \\u2014 Spirit shares slid more than 6% after the company posted a wider-than-expected loss for the fourth quarter. The airline lost $1.61 per share excluding items, while reporting a revenue of $498.5 million.
